PROPRIETARY AND CONFIDENTIAL DRAFT 5 Feb 04

Blender Differential Bypass (Optional)
The factory-installed, optional, blender module alarms whenever the pressure differential between the
oxygen and Air supplies exceed 207 kPa (30 psi) ± 14 kPa (2 psi). When this condition occurs, the
blender continues to supply whichever gas has the higher pressure: either 100% air or 100% oxygen. This
alarm is an acoustic alarm signal only; there are no visual indicators. If a blender is present, both sources
of air and oxygen must be connected, turned on, and present to prevent the Differential Bypass alarm
from activating.
NOTE:
Because this alarm is pneumatically powered, either O
2
or air must be present for the alarm to sound. The
blender needs to see 2 gas sources or an alarm sounds.
