4 Specific points for connection of DALM3000/DALM5000 to fire alarm
- Connect output for fire alarm from fire alarm system to DALM3000/DALM5000, input 1
- Connect output for error alarm from fire alarm system to DALM3000/DALM5000, input 2
- Connect DALM3000/DALM5000 output REL2 to section/input on fire alarm system.
DALM3000/DALM5000, both burglar and fire alarms, should be tested at least once a year. To test fire
alarm transmission, activate input 1 on DALM3000/DALM5000 and to test error alarm transmission,
activate input 2 on DALM3000/DALM5000. To test transmission of DALM3000/DALM5000's internal error
alarm, activate transmission by creating conditions for each error, e.g. by removing the device's antenna to
activate error alarm for GPRS/3G error (note: 20 minutes default delay at delivery).
Started transmission is always indicated by LED 3 starting to flash at a frequency of 5 times/second.
Communication path is indicated by LED2 where not lit means communication via fixed Internet and lit
means communication via GPRS/3G. Positive acknowledgement by the alarm centre is indicated by LED 2
(green) and LED 3 (green) flashing three times together at a frequency of 1 time per second whilst negative
acknowledgement is indicated by LED 4 (red) flashing three times at a frequency of 1 time per second.
For a positive acknowledgement, i.e. successful transfer, the normally closed output REL2 opens from
DALM3000/DALM5000 for two seconds and then closes again.
