2.3 E-mail alarms
DALMx000 can send alarms as e-mails to any receiver address both via fixed Internet and via GPRS/3G.
NOTE: Email messaging via 3G/GPRS is not available is using Dualtech SECURE SIM. In this case, messaging
is enabled via the EasyWebManager web portal.
The receiver list defines receivers of the e-mail type during system programming and with an e-mail
address as receiver address. When an input that has been connected to the receiver has been activated,
an e-mail is sent to the receiver. The message consists of the following:
From: Sender ID@DOMAIN
Subject: Object ID, Input label
Message: Input text
e.g.
From: DALMx000@dualtech.se
Subject: DALMx000, IN1
Message: Burglary
If an alarm is activated via analogue alarm from the connected dialler, the event code, area and any event
text from the dialler is also added, e.g.:
From: DALMx000@dualtech.se
Subject: DALMx000, IN36 (Analogue SIA)
Message:
Bosch 7240 – SIA II
BA
Area : 0102
Section : 003
where 0102 = transmission area and 003 = section.
For e-mail alarms to work the following is required:
For fixed Internet:
1. The address to valid SMTP-server* is given under the Ethernet tab during system programming.
2. The address to valid DNS-server** in the local network is given during system programming.
3. A valid ”domain” is given during system programming.
* Note: For e-mail alarms via fixed network to work the SMTP server you are connecting to (can be
localised either in the local network or be external at the e-mail supplier) must be configured so that e-
mails from the ”domain” specified during system programming by DALMx000 is actually permitted to send
the messages to the receiver addresses required. In some cases rules can be set in the SMTP server which
means for example that mail from a certain domain, e.g. ”dualtech.se”, may only be distributed to certain
receiver addresses etc. In the event of problems, check with the IT manager about the item.
** Alternatively DHCP can be activated in DALMx000, which means that the device itself retrieves IP
parameters, including the address to the DNS server, when connecting to the local network.
Via GPRS/3G:
1. An active SIM card has been placed in the device
2. The address to valid SMTP server is given under the GPRS/3G tab during system programming.
