Quick Start: Introducing DynaVox Series 4
Part # 400023
63
Once you select a page layout, you use the next windows to select the following characteristics of the
page or popup you are creating:
Audio cues for buttons
Background colors for boxes, pages and buttons
Border colors for boxes, pages and buttons
Border thickness for buttons
Button behaviors and symbols
Button type
Button visual style
Horizontal proportions and space for row items
Labels, colors, fonts, text and justification
Message Window behaviors
Number of columns/rows
Number of tab panes
Search parameters for Search boxes
Vertical proportions and space for column items
Once you have selected a page layout, the Page Wizard will continue to present the appropriate tools to
define the elements on your selected page. Since the options that are presented depend on your chosen
level of complexity and the page layout that you selected, there is no definitive step-by-step sequence of
instructions to take you through the remainder of the Page Wizard windows. Simply work through the
options that are presented in each new window.
When you have defined all the elements in your selected page layout, you will be taken to the Page
Wizard complete window. This window provides tools for saving the new layout as a communication page
or popup, or as a template for future page creation. Once your layout has been saved, you can open the
page, popup or template with the Page Navigator menu.
Using the Page Editing Preferences Wizard
You can make the creation of a page with Page Wizard an even quicker process by first using the Page
Editing Preferences Wizard to record some default page creation settings. Any options that you select in
the Page Editing Preferences Wizard will be automatically applied to all new pages (the Page Wizard does
provide options if you want a page to differ from the default). The Page Editing Preferences Wizard can
be found in the main pull-down menu, under the Page Editing option.
To launch the Page Editing Preferences Wizard, use the following steps:
1. Select the pull-down menu button in the title bar at the top of the touch screen.
2. Select Page Editing in the main pull-down menu.
3. Select Preference Wizard in the second pull-down menu.
