Rate Enhancement
DynaVox Series 4 devices offer rate enhancement features that can help you communicate more quickly
and efficiently. These features include word prediction, context prediction, flexible abbreviation,
abbreviation expansion and macros. Rate enhancement reduces the number of selections you must make
to perform a task. When you make less selections, your communication rate will be faster.
Prediction
Prediction can be used with keyboard pages and popups that include predictor buttons. As you use the
keyboard buttons to compose a message, the prediction feature anticipates your word choices and
displays various options for quick selection. These word choices are displayed in predictor buttons. If the
software predicts the word you are trying to compose, you can save time by selecting the predictor
button that features the correct word. This will immediately send the word to the Message Window,
allowing you to simply move on to the next word.
