Connection to the CIP changeover
Connecting an external 24 V AC/DC signal enables four CIP ranges to be selected
(only if the CIP function is configured in the basic settings).
Terminal assignment: Terminal X1, pins: 6, 7, 8
CIP range Input ‘A’ Input ‘B’
CIP 1 0 V 0 V
CIP 2 24 V AC/DC 0 V
CIP 3 0 V 24 V AC/DC
CIP 4 24 V AC/DC 24 V AC/DC
Connection of the current outputs for conductivity and temperature
To avoid current signal interference, use of a shielded line (e.g. LiYCY) is recommended.
This should be connected to the PLC at the
PE connection.
CAUTION!
The shielding must not be connected in the transmitter LMIT09 .

Connection of the external transducer
1. Feed the measuring line through the right cable inlet (3) on the LMIT09.
2. Connect to terminal X1, pins 13 to 21 according to core wire colour codes.

3. T
ighten the screwed cable connection.
4. Connect the equipotential bonding.

1 PROFIBUS connection
The PROFIBUS connection for the LMIT09 branches off from a T-joint of the PROFIBUS
line. The maximum length of the branch line is 1 m.
CAUTION!
The shielding of the bus connection line must be insulated in the
LMIT09.
If the bus connection line is continued, the shielding must be bridged in
insulated form.
The switch S1 can be used to connect a BUS terminating resistance of 120 W.
This is required if the LMIT09 is the last device in the RS485 BUS line.
