10.1 Communications Hub fails to connect to the WAN

10.3 HAN joining problems
The following table illustrates the messages that may appear if the meter has problems finding or
joining the Home Area Network. One of the most common problems you may encounter is that of
the meter not being on the Communications Hub whitelist. Refer to your company’s installation
procedures regarding whitelisting.
The meter cannot locate the
HAN.
Ensure that the Communications
Hub indicates that the HAN has
been formed and that joining
mode is enabled. Refer to your
Communications Hub
documentation.
If the HAN Search message
remains on the display (for more
than 1 minute) it means that the
meter may not be in the
Communications Hub’s whitelist.
Ensure that the meter has been
whitelisted. The user may see
‘No HAN found’ following this
message.

The Issuer field within the key
establishment partner’s
certificate is unknown to the
sending device and it has
terminated the key
establishment.

establishment.
