Before starting this procedure, you should store all data. Also inform all involved
users.
!! Attention!!
An incorrect changeover of the bypass-switch can cause damage of the UPS or
of the connected machines. The change over instructions has to be respected in
the right sequence.
To change over to bypass-mode, respect the following instructions:
1. Push for about 5 seconds the off button „AUS“ , the LCD-display
will indicate drawing B and the UPS output is in bypass mode.
2. First release the CAM switch (maintenance bypass switch), then switch
the CAM into bypass mode „Bypassmodus“, then the LCD-display will
indicate on the top right corner this sign .
3. Switch-off the automatic breaker of the main supply of the UPS and the
automatic breaker of the bypass supply. Now you can start
maintenance.
It is necessary to start with step no. 1 and then step no. 2. If you forget step 1,
the UPS will make a warning and indicate an error message. Thins warning
can damage the UPS due to an unsafe supplying state. The UPS will
changeover immediately to inverter mode if you switch the CAM back to „INV“.
To changeover from bypass mode to UPS mode, you have to proceed as
follows:
4. Ensure that the UPS is connected correctly (see chapter 9.1)
5. Switch-on the automatic breaker for the bypass and main supply. The
UPS starts-up until drawing B (the unit remains internally in bypass
service). If the display does not indicate this, you have to check the
connections and the function.
6. Switch the CAM back to „INV“ mode and fix the cover again.
7. Afterwards make the set-up as described in chapter 9.1. up to point 5.
Then the UPS will work in inverter mode again.
10 Troubleshooting
Just authorized persons are allowed to do troubleshooting at the UPS.
