8 Installation and connection of the UPS
All instructions for environmental and service conditions have to be complied to
guarantee the perfect function of the UPS.
8.1 Choice of the fitting position
To avoid damages and to increase service life of the UPS you have to choose
a convenient environment for the installation of the unit. Respect the following
instructions:
1. Avoid extreme temperature and humility. With an environmental
temperature of 15 – 25°C the maximum service life can be reached,
just also with regard to the batteries.
2. Always ensure that behind the UPS is enough place to connect the
machines. The underlay must have got a good carrying capacity.
3. Respect the described fitting position. The fitting position can only be
horizontal.
4. Distance between the wall and the back side of the UPS has to be at
least 30 cm.
5. Do not block the air stream of the fan outlets.
6. To avoid overheat and humidity, check the room of installation.
7. Keep dusty, nocuous or saline materials away from the UPS.
8. Do not install the UPS outside.
