4. Storage and unpacking
4.1 Storage of the UPS
If the UPS and/or the separate battery bank are to be stored after delivery, the
following points must be observed:
 Always leave the UPS and the accessories in the original packaging;
 The recommended storage temperature should be between 10 –
25°C. In any event, it is not allowed to exceed or fall below the
maximum temperature limits (see here  13 Technical data);
 The delivered goods must also be protected against moisture. The
device must therefore be stored in a dry area;
– If the storage period exceeds 4 months, the battery bank
(internal/external) must be charged via the UPS for a period of
approximately 24 hours to avoid a total discharge of the
accumulators which would result in irreversible damage to the
accumulators.
 The UPS must be connected to the mains power supply for this.
4.2 Transport to the installation site
As the point of delivery is usually not the point of installation, the equipment
must be transported to the installation site. Please note the following when
transporting:
– Always transport the delivery in the original packaging as close as
possible to the installation site;
– In addition, mind the center of gravity when transporting. As an
explicit transport position is not stipulated for the device, it is
preferable to transport the device flat. This way, the possibility of the
device being tipped is ruled out;
