Taking Care of Your Machine
The machine is self-lubricating, however, the area
around the bobbin and hook must be cleaned each
time the machine has had extensive use. Do not
dismantle the machine further than explained
on these pages. Clean the outside of the machine
with a soft cloth and pure soap.
Cleaning the Hook Area
Loose threads and dust may cause puckered
stitches and thread breakage during stitching.
Check for lint buildup after each project is
completed.
Hand turn the flywheel to raise the needle to its
highest position. Turn Off power switch. Unplug
the machine before cleaning.
Remove the needle. Use the screw key q supplied
with the machine to remove the screw w. Lift away
the needle plate e.
Take out the bobbin. Lift up and remove the bobbin
case r.
Clean the bobbin case with the lint brush and soft,
dry cloth.
Clean the hook area t with the lint brush.
Wipe out gently with soft, dry cloth. (You can also
use a small vacuum cleaner.)
