Maximum selectable setpoint
If the high voltage output is in the constant voltage operating mode, the
maximum high voltage required by the application may be selected. The
appropriate maximum output current may be selected in the constant cur-
rent operating mode. This value cannot be exceeded when adjusting the
setpoint. This arrangement allows the generator to be adapted to a wide
variety of applications.
Limit
If the generator is in the constant voltage operating mode, a maximum
current (the current limit) may be selected. The appropriate voltage limit
may be selected in the constant current operating mode. This will prevent
the generator from delivering uncontrolled energy to the consumer.
Depending on application it might be useful to switch off or limit the output
when exceeding the previously selected current or voltage limit.
If <switch off> is selected, the generator will be switched off when reach-
ing the current or voltage limit, an error message is displayed and the
analog interface relay switches.
If <limiting> is selected, the output voltage / output current will be reduced
until the selected limit current flows or the appropriate limit voltage applies
at the output.
