EMC Symmetrix DMX-3 Product Guide
Symmetrix DMX-3 Specifications
Electrical specifications and power requirements
This section describes electrical specifications, power cables,
connectors, and extension cords for the Symmetrix DMX-3 system
bay and each storage bay for North American and international sites.
The DMX-3 system uses three-phase power only. The type of input
power is determined by the PDP (power distribution panel) required.
There are two choices:
Three-phase, four-wire, Delta, line-to-line
Three-phase, five-wire, WYE, line-to-neutral
Each DMX-3 system bay and storage bay has two power connectors,
one affixed to each PDP (Figure 61 on page 270).

Note: “Symmetrix DMX-3 power requirements” on page 288 provides
pre-installation power site requirements. The Symmetrix EMC DMX-3
Physical Planning Guide also provides additional planning information for
power requirements.
