International power
specifications
Table 51 on page 274 describes the electrical specifications for the
Symmetrix DMX-3 system bay and storage bays for systems installed
in international, three-phase, five-wire (WYE) environments.

extension cords
and mating
connectors
Each DMX-3 system bay and storage bay has two power cables
affixed to each PDP shown in Figure 61 on page 270. For an
international, three-phase, WYE configuration, attached to each PDP
is a 32A ABL Sursum S52.30 connector. Table 52 on page 274
describes the optional extension cords that connect to the ABL
Sursum S52.30 connectors.

a. An imbalance of AC input currents may exist on the three-phase power source feeding the Symmetrix system, depending on configuration.
The customer's electrician must be alerted to this possible condition to balance the phase-by-phase loading conditions within the customer's
data center.
b. For high voltage installations (380 - 415 VAC line-to-line), a 32 A rated circuit breaker is recommended. For international installations where a
three-phase, four-wire Delta source is used, a 50 A circuit breaker is required.
