DPSI RV Family Operating Instructions Version 2.0
Page 33 of 48
The types of batteries are defined as follows:
Buzzer code Battery Type / Programming
1x beep 5 cell battery (NiCad / NiMH)
2x beep 6 cell battery (NiCad / NiMH)
3x beep 7 cell battery (NiCad / NiMH)
4x beep LONGGO battery (LiPo)
5x beep Deactivate all tests
At delivery, “Battery type No. 4” (LiPo battery) is programmed by
default. When “5 beeps” is selected (all tests deactivated), the DPSI
RV does not carry out any voltage tests. Therefore, no empty batteries
or other faults are acoustically notified.
Hint:
Two identical batteries must be used at all times (i.e. the same battery type
(NiCad, NiMH or LiPo) and same number of cells). The battery capacity may
vary, on the other hand (even if this is not practical).
Hint:
If using Lithium-Ion batteries, battery type 2 is to select (6 NiCad/NiMH cells).
This best corresponds to the discharge curve of LiIon batteries.
