5.4. Connecting the Receiver
DPSI RV and DPSI RV Mini 5 / 6
Not all inputs of the DPSI RV need be contacted when connecting the
receiver. Only the number of patch cables (cables between receiver
and DSPI RV) required should be plugged in. All patch cables supply
the receiver with voltage.
DPSI 2001 RV
The DPSI 2001 RV provides 10 connection cables, which can be
connected directly to the receiver. If not all cables are to be used
(because the receiver eventually has less outputs), these unused
cables can be tightened to a free spot with the help of a tie wrap.
These unused cables MUST NOT connect to unused servo outputs of
the DPSI 2001 RV!
Some receivers carry a separate connector named “Batt.” where
normally a battery is connected to (e.g. servo 1 to 9 and “Batt.”). This
output (“Batt.”) MUST NOT be used! Even if it would be very handy
to “stow” this cable of the DPSI 2001 RV this way, it is not permissible
to do so.
Hint:
All receiver connector cables supply the receiver with the regulated output
voltage! Hence it is does not matter which cable (which channel) is connected.
Hint:
For all (!) DPSI RV systems the negative wire (brown) of the connector cables
points upwards, i.e. toward the print image. The pulse wire (orange) points
towards heat sink.
Hint:
In the case that the system does not work properly, please check whether all
cables are plugged in correctly and if the type of modulation of the transmitter
corresponds to that of the receiver (e.g. PPM, PCM, SPCM, IPD and so on).
