1. General notes
Please pay attention to the following warnings
for your own safety!
Please pay attention to the operating instruc-
tions of your CM42 and the Ex safety instruc-
tions (XA) in case of an Ex instruments!

1.1 How to use
The parts of this service kit are only to be
used as spare parts for instruments of the
CM42 instrument family. Any other use is
not permitted.
1.2 Handling of electronic modules
Electronic modules are sensitive against
electrostatic discharge (ESD). Discharge your-
self, e. g. on a protective conductor, before you
take a module from it's ESD protective packing.
Permanent earth connection, e.g. with ESD
wristlet is recommended.
1.3 Electric safety
CM42 operates with safety extra-low voltage
[SELV] and switching contacts are not present.
Therefore a danger of electrical hazard is not
present.
1.4 Information on explosion protection (I)
Work on instruments with Ex approval
Service at instruments with Ex approval
requires appropriate qualification.
Legal regulations and operational rules must
be kept where appropriate.

1.1 Verwendung
Die Servicekits sind ausschließlich als Ersatz-
teile für Messgeräte der Gerätefamilie CM42
zu verwenden. Jede anderweitige Verwendung
ist unzulässig.
1.2 Handhabung elektronischer Baugruppen
Elektronische Baugruppen sind empfindlich
gegen elektrostatische Entladungen (ESD).
Entladen Sie sich z. B. an einem Schutzleiter
vor Entnahme einer Baugruppe aus der anti-
statischen Verpackung. Vorteilhaft ist eine
ständige Erdung, z. B. mit ESD-Armband.
1.3 Elektrische Sicherheit
Das CM42 arbeitet ausschließlich mit Schutz-
Kleinspannung, es sind auch keine Schaltkon-
takte eingebaut. Eine elektrische Gefährdung
ist deshalb nicht vorhanden.
1.4 Hinweise zum Explosionschutz (I)
Arbeit an Geräten mit Ex-Zulassung
Service an Ex-zugelassenen Geräten erfordern
eine entsprechende Qualifikation.
Gesetzliche sowie ggf. spezifische betriebliche
Vorschriften sind einzuhalten.
