5.11.2 Stilling well method
Prepare the stilling well that is larger than the diameter of the measuring probe when
installing it.
When using an anchor weight, use a pipe that is 100A (4") (JIS, ASME) or larger. If an anchor
weight is not being used in the stilling well method, install the WB probe so that its end is
below the bottom of the stilling well. This will allow the pipe to be filled with liquid.
To prevent damage to temperature probe and WB probe, ensure that they do not touch
anything during insertion through the installation nozzle.

Stilling well installation procedure
1. Pass the temperature probe and the WB probe through a gasket and insert them from
the installation nozzle at the top of the tank.
2. Use bolts to secure the flange of NMT81 to the installation nozzle on top of the tank.
This completes the procedure for installing a stilling well.
