3. In the case of Q-Safe, check that the orange indicator
rod is out.
For engcon's other quick coupler, check that the blue
indicator rod is out. Indicator rod location may vary
depending on the machine coupler model.
4. Move the machine coupler toward the tool.
If EC-Oil is fitted, make sure the tool is located so that the
shaft with the EC-Oil block is positioned closest to the base
machine. If the tool is positioned correctly, the block will be
visible on the left side of the shaft as seen from the cab.
5. Connect the tool by moving the machine coupler toward
one axle on the tool.
If fitted, Q-Safe activates the stick’s sound and light signals.

when connected. Risk of
hearing loss.
6. Raise the machine coupler minimally above the ground
so that the tool engages the machine coupler.
IMPORTANT
The machine may only be operated
with the quick coupler lock switch
in the activated position when
connecting and disconnecting
tools.
