5 Operation
7. Activate the quick coupler lock function. The quick
coupler lock is not fully connected to the attachment point
until the hydraulic system is activated and the "open"
indicator is no longer visible.
IMPORTANT
Always pressurize the machine
coupler to activate the locking
cylinder after changing tools.
8. Activate the hydraulics to operate the locking bolts.
IMPORTANT
Always pressurize the machine
coupler to activate the locking
cylinder after changing tools.
9. Check that the machine coupler lock function has
engaged:
For Q-Safe, the closed position is reached when the orange
indicator rod no longer protrudes from the machine coupler.
The sound and light signals will discontinue if the coupler is
correctly connected.
WARNING
Stop work
immediately and begin
troubleshooting if the
system warns of a
faulty tool connection
during operation. Risk
of personal injury and
damage to property.
For engcon's other machine couplers, the blue indicator
rod must no longer protrude from the coupler. Indicator
rod location may vary depending on the machine coupler
model.
