Compatibility
The Enphase IQ Series Microinverters are electrically compatible with PV modules, as listed in the following
table. For specifications, see the Technical specifications in this manual. You can refer to Enphase
compatibility calculator to verify PV module electrical compatibility. To ensure mechanical compatibility, be
sure to order the correct connector type for both the microinverter and PV module from your distributor.
WARNING: Risk of fire. The PV module DC conductors must be labelled "PV Wire" or "PV Cableto
comply with the NEC for ungrounded PV power systems.

66-cell/132 half-cell
72 cell/144 half-cell
NOTE: IQ Series Microinverters will not begin exporting power until the IQ Gateway is installed and
has detected all the microinverters at the site. In addition, the grid profile may need to be
configured, and the IQ Gateway must have propagated these settings to the microinverters. For
instructions on this procedure, refer to the IQ Gateway Installation and Operation Manual at the
documentation centre.
Earthing considerations
The microinverter has a Class II double-insulated rating, which includes ground fault protection (GFP). Refer
to local electrical codes and standards for earthing requirements of PV array and racking.
Branch circuit capacity
Plan your AC branch circuits to meet the following limits* for the maximum number of microinverters per
branch when protected with a 20 A MCB/fuse over the current protection device. For most three-phase
installations, use a 4-pole 20 A MCB/fuse.
