Labels, paper dust, or sticky materials on the platen may cause paper jams or misalignment of print positions.
Clean the platen following the procedure below.

Make sure the printer is turned

If paper has been loaded, remove it.

Push the lever backward and open the top cover.

Remove labels, paper dust, and sticky materials from the platen with a

cloth dampened with water and
wrung out tightly, or a cotton swab.

Caution
Be careful not to leave cloth or cotton swab bers on the platen when removing stains.

Close the top cover.
