Testing and measuring equipment
Test setup
• The test specimen is connected via the VIO 3 electrosurgical unit to the
power supply.
• The argon gas bottle is connected to the test specimen.
• The VIO return electrode socket is connected (single surface) with a
metal panel. A viscose sponge soaked in a 0.9 % saline solution is
placed on the metal panel.
• The applicator is connected to the APC socket.
Test procedure
1. Set the test specimen to:
APC applicator, monopolar – forcedAPC – Effect 8
Argon flow 2.0 l/min
2. Point the applicator towards the metal panel with the viscose sponge
without touching the return electrode device. Press the COAG button.
The argon must ignite.

WARNING! Risk of injury due to electrically conductive objects and high voltage. Do
not touch any electrically conductive objects with the instrument when
it is activated. Under no circumstances should you touch the beam.
