Troubleshoong Guide
When you encounter the problems listed below, use the suggested trouble-shoong methods. If you cannot
solve the problem or have a problem with the Spray Gun that is not addressed in this manual, contact ESS at

Air pressure of spray
appears low
Clogged Liquid Filter Clean the Liquid Filter Assembly (see Liquid Filter
Assembly secon of this manual).
Liquid ngs are loose Make sure the Liquid Filter Assembly is installed correctly.
Air ngs are loose or damaged Make sure that the Air Filter is installed correctly. Inspect
for loose hoses or failed air lines—Spray ngs with soapy
water—ghten ones that bubble, replace if necessary.
Clogged Air Filter Clean the Air Filter (see the Air Filter Assembly secon of
this manual).
Dirty Trigger Clean the Trigger (see the To Clean the Trigger secon of
the manual).
No spray from nozzle or
the spray from nozzle is
errac or spits
Debris in the nozzle Clean nozzle according to instrucons.
Spray is freezing due to evaporave cool-
ing
Make sure that water temperature is at least 50°F (10°C).
Liquid Filters are dogged Clean the Liquid Filter Assembly (see Liquid Filter Assembly
secon of this manual).
Low liquid levels in the tank Rell tank.
Loose liquid or air ng Inspect hose quick connects at case and at spraywand
leader. Make sure that all liquid ngs and air ngs are
Dirty Trigger Clean the Trigger (see the To Clean the Trigger secon of
the manual).
Overghtened nozzle cover Loosen cover. It should only be nger-ght.
Charging indicator (LED)
blinks or goes out during
operaon
Baeries are exhausted Recharge baeries. If problem persists, replace baery
pack.
Dirty nozzle Clean nozzle according to instrucons.
Air compressor cuts o
during operaon
Compressor has overheated Let unit cool for approximately 1 hour; restart.
No power Make sure the unit is plugged into an appropriate
electrical receptacle.
XT-3 will not start
XT-3 is not switched on Make sure the power switch is on.
