Using the Shoulder Belt Clip
Reattaching the Backrest
General Information
1. Remove seat pad from backrest
(see page 53).
4. Reattach the seat pad to the backrest.
2. Unfasten Chest Clip.
Unfasten chest clip from behind backrest and pull
harness straps to front of child restraint.
3. Remove both
harness straps from
the splitter plate
on the back of the
child restraint.
5. Route harness
straps.
Route the harness straps
through the slots on
the front of the child
restraint. Pull the harness
straps to the back of the
child restraint.
Note: Straps must be positioned at the child’s shoulder
level or slightly above. Harness Covers MUST be
installed when using the 5-point harness for children
weighing 18 kg (40 lbs) or less (see page 54).
IMPORTANT: When inserting harness straps through the
slots in the seat pad, make sure you route them correctly
through their corresponding slots in the seat shell.
