Child Restraint System
IMPORTANT:
•Ifyouareusingthevehicleseatbelttosecurethechild
restraint, DO NOT use SureLatch connectors.
•Installthischildrestraintwiththevehicleseatbelt
(NOT LATCH connectors) if the child weighs more than
21.7 kg (48 lbs).
•Somevehiclemanufacturershavelowermaximum
weight ratings for LATCH anchors. Consult your vehicle
owner’s manual, or call the vehicle manufacturer, to
confirm the limits on your vehicle’s LATCH anchors.
1. Disconnect the tether
hook from the back
of the child restraint.

2. Place the child
restraint in position.
Make sure child restraint
is in Recline Position #2
or #3 (p. 62).
Set child restraint on
vehicle seat in forward-
facing position, as
shown. Lay the tether
strap over the back of
the vehicle seat.

IMPORTANT: NEVER use Recline Position #1 for forward-
facing, AND NEVER use Recline Position #2 with children
who weigh more than 18 kg (40 lbs).
