Connection
Accessing this page automatically scans and lists all discovered EX10
devices using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
Note: The Connection page is displayed by default when the application is
started for the first time or when the application cannot re-connect to the
previously connected EX10 device.
Available Devices
Discovered EX10 devices appear with their device name and serial
number, an update message may appear, and an icon to its left as follows:
To establish a connection with an EX10 device:
1. Select a device from the list. A pop-up is displayed while trying to
establish the connection with the selected EX10 device.
If the connection succeeds, Connected is displayed next to the
connected EX10 device.
2. If the connection fails (not connected) ensure that the EX10 device is
in-range, within 1 meter to 30 meters depending on the obstacle and
interference, and select the device again.
To disconnect from an EX10 device:
1. Select the Connected EX10 device.
2. Select Yes to confirm its disconnection.
Icon Description
Indicates that the firmware of the EX10 device is compatible with
the EXFO EX10 smart device application.
