KIAS
Temperature rise [°C]
Due to dynamic pressure, the IAT indication is higher
and dependant on altitude and airspeed. To get the
correct static temperature, substract the temperature rise
from the indication.

The recovery factor of the IAT sensor is k=0.50 [-].
Example: The IAT indicator shows a
temperature of 4 °C in 6000 ft.
The KIAS is 175.
The temperature rise is: 2.4 °C
And the static outside temperature
4 - 2.4 = 1.6 °C
