7.14.j Chip Detection
Indicating magnetic chip detector plugs are installed in the
engine oil filter housing assembly, the left front of the power
and accessory gearbox and the bottom of the propeller reduction
gearbox external oil sump. If chips and/or splinter are detected
by the system, a yellow CHIP DETECTION advisory light
illuminates on the annunciator panel, indicating, that special
inspections are required as soon as practical.
