Configuration and Control: an Overview
An IPCP must be configured before use in order to recognize and accept commands
and pass them on to the controlled devices. It can be configured and controlled via a
host computer connected to the same network as the control processor. See LAN (IP)
connectors and LEDs starting on page16 for details about LAN port and cabling to
connect the control processor to the network.
• Configure the control processor by using the Global Configurator software in
GCProfessional or GC Plus mode. See the Extron website for full system hardware
and software requirements.
• The default Web pages embedded within the control processor provide a means
to view general hardware information, network settings, and, if configured, project
information. The embedded Web pages can also be used to update the IPCP firmware.
You cannot configure the control processor via the embedded Web pages.
