4.6.4. For platform picketed guards, pre-assemble the top rail by inserting 5/16”-18 x 1” long
hex bolts through a 5/16” flat washers, the uppermost hole in the platform angle
posts, and into the 5/16”-18 round threaded inserts in the top rail.
4.6.5. Pre-assemble the platform picketed guard by inserting a 5/16”-18 x 1” long hex bolt
through a 5/16” flat washer (use flat washer for the upper rail only; do not use a
washer on the lowermost holes), the platform angle post, and into the 5/16”-18
square threaded inserts in the picketed guard (FIG. 4.10).
