Engine oil level check
You should wear gloves when doing this.
Do not perform this check with the motorcycle
resting on the kickstand.
Place the vehicle on a flat surface.
Keep the vehicle in a vertical position and with both
wheels resting on the ground.
The level must be controlled with the engine cold. If
the vehicle has just been used, it is advisable to wait
at least ten minutes for the engine to cool so that the
oil circulating in the crankcase settles and cools.
The engine oil also lubricates the clutch. The wrong oil or chemical additives may cause the clutch to slip.
Therefore, do not add chemical additives or use motor oil a grade of “CD” “C” or higher and do not use oil with
the label “ENERGY CONSERVING II” “d”.
Do not allow foreign material to enter the crankcase.
Remove the control screw (1) located in the right-hand part of the crankcase; the oil level is correct when it does not exceed
the bottom lip of the hole.
The level must never exceed the lower edge of the hole and at the same time it must be lower than the hole
itself. In the first case, excess oil will leak out; in the second case, the engine could be seriously damaged.
Top up if necessary.
