CHAIN
The vehicle is equipped with a junction mesh chain.
Check the chain, pinion and crown wear
Check the following parts and check that the chain, pinion
and crown do not show:
– worn rollers;
– loose pins;
– dry, rusty, crushed or seized meshes;
– missing sealing rings;
– pinion teeth and/or crown teeth excessively worn or
damaged.
If one of these components is damaged, the entire chain assembly (pinion, chain and crown) must be replaced.
Also check the wear of the chain guide and the chain sliding shoe.
The junction mesh of the chain must be disassembled exclusively for the purpose of replacing the chain with a
new one.
Make sure that the junction mesh “A” is always installed from the inside towards the outside of the vehicle, and
that the pins are perfectly locked by the fork “B”, to avoid loosing the chain: the closed end of fork “B” must be
facing in the drive chain direction of rotation.
