2 Confirm the adjustment by shredding the
ratednumber of sheets listed on Table 1.
a If the shredder jams, turn the screw
clockwise and retest with the rated number
of sheets.
b If the shredder does not jam, feed the
minimum number of sheets to make sure it
will not cause a jam at the minimum setting.
3 When the current limit adjustment screw is set
properly, place a drop of Loctite thread locking
liquid on the screw to secure the setting.
4 Reassemble the shredder and test thel basic
shredder functions, including:
a Make sure the Ready Light (green) shines
brightly when the power is on. This indicates
the correct LED aligment between the PC
board and the cover.
b Open the cabinet door to make sure the Door
Ajar light is working.
c Open the cabinet door and cover the bin full
sensors with a piece of tape. Colose the door,
turn on the shredder, and wait about 8 seconds
for the bin full sensor to turn on. When the bin
full sensor light turns on, remove the tape from
the sensors.
d Press the Manual Forward button to make sure
it is working.
e Place a sheet of paper in the paper entry slot
to make sure the Automatic-start feature is
working.
f Press and hold the Reverse button to make
sure it is working.
