Operating the Fido X4
Step 1: Remove a reference standard from the kit.
Step 2: Extend the reference standard from the sheath by pressing the thumb button
while sliding it forward until the reference standard fully extends and locks.

Step 3: With the holes facing toward the Fido X4 display, insert the reference standard
into the thermal desorber (TD) slot as shown in Figure 5-6.
