Cleaning the Meter

To avoid electrical shock or damage to the Meter, never allow water inside the
case. To avoid damaging the housing, never apply solvents to the Meter.
Periodically wipe the case with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasives or solvents.
Dirt or moisture in the input terminals can distort meter readings. Clean the terminals as follows:
1. Turn the rotary switch to
OFF and remove the test leads from the terminals.
2. Shake out any dirt that may be in the terminals.
3. Soak a new swab with alcohol. Clean each terminal with the swab.
