Amps DC Calibration
Table 6 lists the required equipment.
To calibrate the Amps dc function (subsequent amps dc calibration steps refer to Table 7):
1. Set the 8588A as follows: Volts dc, Range Auto, NPLC 50, Guard ON (external guard).
2. Make sure that the DUT is in Standby.
3. Connect a strap between the Guard and Ground terminals of the DUT.
4. Complete an internal DC Zero Calibration on the Product.
5. Calculate the shunt resistance in
Ω from the calibration records and/or regression analysis for all
shunts listed in Table 7.
6. Record the shunt resistance in the
Ω column marked as Shunt_R in Table 7.
7. Connect the 8588A for V dc measurement with the low thermal cable to Fluke 742A-1k SENSE See
Figure 5.
