The NT8’s liquid lines should be sterilized every three months to discourage the growth of
mold, fungus, and other undesirable elements that can thrive in an aqueous environment.
Before you begin, please make sure that the NT8 is powered off.
Prerequisites
● Bleach
● Distilled water
● LV tips
To Clean the Liquid Lines
1. Bleach the water carboy:
● Keeping the tubing attached, unscrew the carboy’s lid to open it.
● Fill the carboy with distilled water to the maximum level marker.
● Add enough bleach to the carboy to create a 5% bleach solution. Mix well.
● Screw the carboy’s lid back on.
2. Power on the NT8 and start the NT8 software.
Sterilizing the Liquid Lines
Note: In this case, it is OK to exceed the maximum water level in the carboy.
