3 - OPERATION
3.1 Preliminary Operations
Before putting the cooler into operation, check
that
- All connections, both electrical and hydraulic,
have been made according to the instructions
in this manual;
- The cooler is free from obstructions and clean;
- The water supply valve is open;
3.2 First Start-up
- Check the correct direction of air flow,
particularly on three-phase machines (Fig.
3.2.1).
Models with three-phase fan: if the direction of
rotation of the fan is incorrect, reverse the
connections of two supply phases.
- Ensure that all electrical cables are correctly
positioned and that they are not pinched or
pulled too tight;
- Ensure that the hydraulic connections have
been made correctly;
- Open the water supply tap and check that
there are no leaks along the supply circuit;
- Check the function of the float valve and
adjust the filling level of the tank. A label
indicating the correct water level is attached
near the float valve on the edge of the tank (see
Fig. 4.2.6).
- At the first start-up, it is advisable to carry
out washing cycles of the evaporative panels
for a few hours, running water through the
panels with the fan off and then draining the
tank completely, to ensure optimal distribution
of the water inside the panels and eliminate the
odours characteristic of the materials of which
the panel is made.
