1 - INTRODUCTION
1.1 Intended use
The machine to which this manual refers must
only be used for the following purposes:
- ROOM COOLING
- AIR HUMIDIFICATION
Any other use shall be considered improper and
potentially dangerous. Franco s.r.l. shall not be
liable for any damage resulting from improper,
erroneous and unreasonable use, such as:
- non-compliance with operating and
maintenance instructions
- incorrect installation
- incorrect power or water supply
- unauthorised mechanical or electrical
modifications
- removal of guards or safety devices
- maintenance deficiencies
- use of non-original spare parts
1.2 General Safety Warnings
When opening the packaging, check that the
appliance is not damaged or deformed. If this is
the case, do not carry out the installation and
contact technical service.
Before connecting the appliance, ensure that the
nameplate data (voltage, frequency, etc.)
correspond to the mains data. Refer to the
technical data label on the appliance.
Observe the general safety regulations for
electrical equipment and in particular:
- Follow the operating and maintenance
instructions and warnings on the machine.
- Do not place any objects on top of the
cooler.
- Children and physically or mentally unfit
persons must not use the machine without
proper supervision.
- Do not touch the cooler during operation.
- Never immerse the unit in water or any
other liquid, or hit it with pressurised
water jets.
- Do not put any objects inside the unit.
- Use only original accessories, spare parts
and components.
- Do not touch the unit with wet or damp
hands.
- Do not pull power cables or expose them
to a risk of shearing.
- In the event of a fault or malfunction,
switch off the appliance immediately and
disconnect the power supply. Do not
attempt to open or tamper with the
device: contact technical service.
- Do not fill or empty the water tank
manually when the appliance is in
operation.
- Do not remove guards or disable safety
devices.
- Do not install the cooler in environments
with explosive atmospheres.
1.3 Warnings for the Correct Disposal of the Product (EU)
Pursuant to European
Directive 2012/19/EU:
At the end of its useful life,
take the appliance to the
appropriate separate
collection centres, or to
retailers who provide this
service. By disposing of the product separately,
possible negative consequences for the
environment and health can be avoided and the
materials from which it is made can be
recovered. To emphasise the obligation to
dispose of electrical and electronic equipment
separately, the product is marked with a
crossed-out wheeled bin.
