2 - INSTALLATION
2.1 Preliminary Operations
To make the PRIMO cooler operational, it is
necessary to have:
- Electrical supply network with voltage
and frequency characteristics suitable for
the machine, with earth conductor and
protection devices;
- Water supply network.
Mains pressure: 2÷4 bar.
Required water characteristics:
pH 6÷8
hardness of less than 25°fH.
- Connection to a suitable discharge point.
Connections to the electricity and water
mains must be made by qualified
personnel in accordance with the safety
regulations in force in the Country of
destination.
2.2 Positioning
The PRIMO cooler should normally be installed
outside of the treated space:
- roof-mounted, on a flat or sloping roof,
with bottom air outlet (Fig. 2.2.1)
- wall-mounted, with side, bottom or top air
outlet (Fig. 2.2.2, 2.2.3, 2.2.4)
The optimum position must be chosen so that air
can flow freely into the unit and does not
interfere with other structures or equipment. It is
therefore recommended to install the appliance:
- at least 3 m away from any chimneys
- at least 1 m away from any surrounding
walls or structures
- at least 3 m away from any antennas,
power lines, electronic equipment, etc.
Provide sufficient space around the cooler for
maintenance, power supply, water and drainage
lines.
For effective cooling action and room humidity
control, it is essential to ensure a continuous air
renewal in the room to be cooled, by means of
ventilation openings (windows, doors, etc.) of a
suitable size, located at the greatest possible
distance from the cooler(s). Windows and doors
must be kept open during operation. As an
alternative or in addition, a number of air
extractors can be used, so that the total air flow
extracted is at least 80% of the air flow
introduced into the room by the cooler(s).
The efficiency of the process, and thus the
ambient temperature drop, will be greater the
higher the outside air temperature and the lower
its relative humidity.
WARNING!
The installation must ensure
compliance with the requirements of
standard UNI EN ISO 13857:2008
regarding protection against
accidental contact of operators with
moving parts of the machine and the
related safety distances.
The PRIMO cooler must normally be
connected to ductwork. If the unit is installed
without ducting, with the air outlet at a height of
less than 2.7 m from the floor level, it is necessary
to fit the fan protection grille code 2902060 (vers.
BT, TP) or code 2902061 (vers. SD) on the air
outlet or provide external protection (fence, etc.)
to prevent access by persons.
It is FORBIDDEN TO USE THE UNIT WITHOUT
PROTECTION GUARDS. DANGER OF CONTACT
WITH MOVING PARTS!
The system must only be designed and
constructed by qualified personnel in accordance
with the legal, technical and work safety
regulations in force in the country of destination
of the device.
Regardless of the type of installation chosen,
ensure that the structure and the supporting
elements are capable of safely bearing the weight
of the cooler and its accessories (ducts, etc.).
Contact qualified personnel for the necessary
structural checks.
