2.8 Improper use
Every use other than those described as chapter Intended use is
deemed to be non-intended and is thus inadmissible.
The operator is solely responsible for risks in the case of improper use.
Consult the manufacturer in case of doubt.
The following are also deemed as improper use:
the use of the machine to human beings.
the use to tranquilize the animals prior to slaughter.
the use of the machine without functional safety devices.
the extension of the cables and connecting lines attached to the
machine.
2.9 Residual risks
The Electric-stunner has been designed in accordance with the latest
state-of-the-art in science and technology and in conformity with the
general safety and health requirements applicable in the European Union.
However, there are still hazards involved which cannot be eliminated by
design measures:
Electrical hazards by using improper connection cables.
It should also be noted that, despite all precautionary measures, residual
risks may remain which are not evident.
To can minimize these residual risks by observing the safety information
given at the beginning of the individual chapters and observing all safety
instructions in the operating manual as a whole.
2.9.1 Electrical residual risks
There is a risk of death from touching live machine parts.
Disconnect the machine from the power supply for all assembly,
dismantling or repair work.
2.9.2 Other residual risks
The negligent handling of personal protective equipment whilst operating
the machine, during maintenance and repair work and during cleaning and
disinfection can lead to serious external and internal injuries.
Always wear your prescribed personal protective equipment.
By unqualified personnel there is the danger due to incorrect trouble
shooting or maintenance and repair work.
Trouble shooting and maintenance works may only be carried out by
qualified personnel.
