Step 3: Start Terminal Emulation Software on the Computer (Such as PUTTY)
Step 1: Connecting the Ethernet Cable
1. Connect the DB-9 connector of the console cable to the serial port of the PC that will be used for
configuring the switch.
2. Connect the RJ45 end of the console cable to the switch's configuration port (Console).
Step 2: Check the Serial Port Number
Open Device Manager on the computer and check the serial port number.
