6-2. Wireless Setting
The [Wireless Setting] tab window on the WLAN Setting screen allows you to set the wireless LAN
operation mode and authentication method.

Item Description
Status
Set whether to use (ON status) or not use (OFF status)
wireless LAN.
Operation
Mode
Access Point
Select when setting the V9 series unit as a wireless LAN
access point (base station).
Station
Select when setting the V9 series unit as a wireless LAN
station (client). Connection will be established at the
specified access point (infrastructure mode).
Ad Hoc
Select when setting the V9 series unit as a wireless LAN
station (client). Instead of an access point, a connection is
established between stations.
As ad-hoc specifications, only one device can be connected
at one time.
Antenna
PCB Select to use the built-in antenna of the V9 series unit.
External Use the optional “V9-ANT” antenna.
Channel
This setting is displayed when [Operation Mode] is set to
[Access Point].
Select an access point channel.
(1 to 11)
SSID
When [Operation Mode] is set to [Access Point], set the
SSID of the local station.
When [Operation Mode] is set to [Station] or [Ad-hoc], set the
SSID of the connection target.

Authentication
Open System
Select the authentication method.
* When [Operation Mode] is set to [Ad-hoc], only [Open
System] is available.

WPA2-PSK
WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK Auto
Encryption
Level
NONE
This setting is available when [Authentication] is set to [Open
System].
WEP
TKIP
This setting is available when [Authentication] is set to
[WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK].
AES
TKIP/AES Auto
This setting is available when [Authentication] is set to
[WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK Auto].
Security Key
Key Index 0 ~ 3 This item can be set when [Encryption Level] is set to [WEP].
Key Format
Hexadecimal Select the key format.
This item is not available when [Encryption Level] is set to
[NONE].
