12-4. Communication I/F Unit Parameters
The [Communication I/F Unit Parameters] tab window on the Communication Setting screen allows
you to view and change settings regarding communication I/F units. (Not all communication I/F units
allow setting changes.)
* The [Communication I/F Unit Parameters] tab is displayed only when a communication I/F unit is
specified for connection.
For details, refer to the respective V9 Series Communication Unit Specifications.
12-5. Multi-Link
The [Multi-Link] tab window on the Communication Setting screen allows you to view and configure
multi-link settings.
* The [Multi-Link] tab window is available only when the connection mode is multi-link.
* For [Send Delay Time], [Total] and [Retry Cycle], the same values must be set on all the V9 series units that are
connected in the same communication line.
Item Description
Local Port No.
Displays the local port number of the V9 series unit. Set within the total number of V9
series units.
Note that if the port number specified is the same as that already set for another V9
unit, the system will not operate correctly.
Send Delay Time
*
Specify a delay time that elapses before the V9 unit sends the next command after
receiving data from the PLC.
Tot al
*
Displays the total number of V9 units connected in multi-link connection. (Cannot be
changed.)
Retry Cycle
*
When a V9 series unit has a problem, it is temporarily removed from the
communication targets, and an inquiry for restoration is sent every number of cycles
specified by this setting.
[Multi-Link] tab window
After changing the settings,
press the [Apply] switch to
confirm the settings.
Changes over the display of
the communication settings
between PLC1 to PLC8.
Indicates the maker,
model, and
connection port of
PLCx.
Pressing each setting field
brings up the system
keyboard to be used for
configuration.
