Preparations
The following items are required in order to use the e-mail service.

Registering E-mail Account
For using the e-mail service, an e-mail account for the machine needs to be registered
to a mail server.
Note • Query the System Administrator about mail account registration.
Configuring E-mail Environment
Enable the port and configure the machine e-mail address, TCP/IP environment, and
e-mail server from the machine.
Note • The configuration can also be performed using CentreWare Internet Services.
For information about CentreWare Internet Services, refer to "Using CentreWare Internet Services"
(P.55).

SMTP POP3
TCP/IP

The TCP/IP address for the machine.
E-mail is exchanged using TCP/IP.
Subnet
mask
Necessary when the network is
divided into subnets.
Gateway
address
Necessary when multiple networks
are connected by gateways.
Administrator
e-mail
address
Set the e-mail address for the
machine administrator.
Main mail
address
Used as the sender address when the
machine is transmitting e-mail.
DNS server
address
Required when the addresses for a
POP3 server and a SMTP server are
set with a domain name format rather
than their IP addresses.
SMTP server
address
The machine uses a SMTP server to
transmit e-mail. The SMTP server can
also be used for receiving e-mail.
SMTP
authentication
user
If the SMTP server requires
authentication, specify the
authentication user name.
POP3
server
If a POP3 server is used to receive e-
mails, register the machine’s e-mail
address and user to the POP3 server.
Also, it is necessary to set the POP3
server address on the machine.

Set the POP receiving user address.
