2 Select [Shift], and enter in the following format:
"<", "port number", ">", "recipient’s telephone
number".
The following shows the corresponding lines to
each port.
<1>: Line 1
<2>: Line 2
<3>: Line 3

Specifying a line (port) using the drop down menu
You can specify a line (port) using the drop down menu when you select [On] under [Display
Fax Line Selection] on the [Tools] screen.

This feature is also available when you specify a
recipient by selecting from the recipients
registered in the Address Book. Select a line, and
then specify a recipient using the one touch
button, speed dial, or address book.
Even if the selected fax number of a recipient
includes letters specifying a line, the machine
puts a high priority on the line selected by this
feature.

When the fax number of a recipient
(<1>0123456789) selected from the Address Book specifies line 1, and you also select line
2 from the drop down menu.
Display example: <2><1>0123456789
In this case, the machine puts a high priority on <2> (line 2) selected from the drop down
menu.
When you use this feature with registered numbers in the Address Book, select [Yes] in [Chain Dial] under [Tools] >
[System Settings] [Fax Service Settings] > [Fax Control].
