The headset port lets you connect a headset, headphones, external speakers
or microphones to your notebook.
► Connect the audio cable to the
external device.
► Connect the audio cable t
o the headset
port of the notebook.
The internal loudspeakers are disabled.
If you buy a c able from a retailer, please note the following information:
The headset port on your notebook is a "3.5 mm jack socket".
If you want to connect a h eadset, headphones or loudspeakers, you
will need a "3.5 mm jack plug".

Using the micr
ophone connection on the optional port replicator, you ca n connect an external
microphone, a
MiniDisc player, M P3 player, CD player or a tape deck to your notebook co mputer.
► Connect the a

port of the port replicator.
