A.3.11 Set Snapshot
For details about this function, refer to "3.19.1 Set Snapshot" (page 327).
For the factory default settings for this function, refer to "Appendix B Set Snapshot" (page 991)

Snapshot Setting
Name
Number of Generations
Description Input the volume name for the Snapshot destination SDV.
The following names are automatically set for SDVs in proportion to the specified
number of generations.
Input "Name" + "$snap_N" (N: Number of generations between 1 - 128)
Input the name only when executing the initial Snapshot setting.

Up to 16 alphanumeric characters, symbols (except "," (comma) and "?"), and spaces
Description Specify the number of Snapshot generations.
SDVs are automatically created in proportion to the specified number of generations.
The maximum number of generations for each model is as follows.
For the ETERNUS DX100 S3
16
For the ETERNUS DX200 S3
64 (*1) or 128 (*2)
For the ETERNUS DX500 S3
128
For the ETERNUS DX600 S3
256

*1: The maximum number of generations after the existing controller firmware is
updated to V10L33 or later.
*2: The maximum number of generations when the ETERNUS DX is shipped from the
factory or the maximum number of generations when adding memory (in cold
mode) after the existing controller firmware is updated to V10L33 or later.
