This manual is composed of the following seven chapters:
● Chapter 1 Overview
This chapter provides an overview and describes the features of the ETERNUS DX80 S2/DX90 S2 Disk
storage system.
● Chapter 2 Specifications
This chapter describes the specifications, the function specifications, and the operating environment of the
ETERNUS DX80 S2/DX90 S2 Disk storage system.
● Chapter 3 Connection Configurations
This chapter describes the different types of interfaces that can be used for connecting the ETERNUS DX80
S2/DX90 S2 Disk storage system.
● Chapter 4 System Configuration
This chapter describes the basic knowledge required for RAID, the types and capacity of drives that can be
used, and hot spares.
● Chapter 5 Basic Functions
This chapter provides an overview of the basic functions that are installed in the ETERNUS DX80 S2/DX90 S2
Disk storage system.
● Chapter 6 Optional Functions
This chapter provides an overview of the optional functions that require license registration.
● Chapter 7 Server Linkage Functions
